Safeguarding Assistant Officer – Volunteer Vacancy

Safeguarding children is of paramount importance and involves promoting children’s welfare in every way. It means protecting them from abuse and neglect but also ensuring their appropriate development and maximising their opportunities. Safeguarding is about creating child-centred rugby and all that we do to prevent problems arising.

Some knowledge of safeguarding is an advantage but not necessary as there will be training available.
You would be part of the safeguarding team to provide support for youth training on Sunday mornings 10 – 12md in accordance with the club’s safeguarding policy.
Your attendance at the club would be on a rota basis, taking into consideration away games if you have a child registered with the club.
You would be subject to an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List information processed and cleared by the RFU.
