Amazons Update: A Bumper Month Ahead!
February is set to be a massive test for the Amazons, with three high-stakes matches in as many weeks. The squad kicks off the action away at Southwold on 8th February, building momentum toward the grand finale: Diss at home on 22nd February.
The Diss match will be a landmark day for the club, featuring our Amazons Match Day Lunch (our first since COVID!!!). We can’t wait to see the clubhouse packed with friends, families, and supporters to cheer the team on!
County Honors The strength of our squad is being noticed beyond Woodbridge. In the recent Suffolk vs. Cambridgeshire match, it was incredible to see eight Amazons in the matchday squad, with many more involved in the wider training group. This provides a fantastic environment for our players to test themselves at a level that hasn’t been available in recent years.
🏉 Amazons Juniors: Building the Future
The foundations laid last season by Lou and Kylie created a truly special spirit, and our Junior sections are now reaping the rewards:

Under 16s: Have successfully completed their first season as part of a club “cluster,” bonding brilliantly to field a side in the Eastern Counties Girls Conference.

Under 14s: Are gearing up for their first Rugby Festival of the season in March—another fantastic example of clubs working together to get girls on the pitch.

Under 12s: It’s wonderful to watch these young players grow in confidence every single week. We are already looking ahead to getting them some competitive games next season!
