Super Saturday!! See the final show down at The Barn

Saturday 14th March 2026

Time: 13:00 - 2000    Location: Hatchley Barn, Orford Road, Bromeswell

What a weekend of Rugby, a draw for our 1st XV, a clear win for our 2nd XV and our AMAZONS whom on the International Women’s Day put on a brave display against Lakenham Union.

Meanwhile elsewhere for the internationals, gasps of…Who?? How did he? They didn’t!?!?! Italy did what?????….. so we asked AI to provide a summary…the reason being? Super Saturday is coming up so what is the show down?

Just to be VERY clear, the below is 100% AI generated and not our words (this is therefore for light humour).

Here’s a pitch-black, morbidly amused summary of last weekend’s Round 4 chaos in the 2026 Six Nations—because sometimes rugby is just 80 minutes of collective self-harm with occasional tries:

  • Ireland 27–17 Wales (Friday night special): Ireland “survived” a Welsh scare like a man who’s already booked his own funeral but keeps postponing it. They scraped a win with a bonus point, because nothing says “title contenders” like grinding out victory against a team that’s basically playing for the right to lose with dignity. Wales fought hard—almost enough to make you feel sorry for them. Almost.
  • Scotland 50–40 France (the main event carnage): A 90-point bloodbath at Murrayfield. Scotland finally remembered they own a rugby ball and ran in seven tries while France treated defence like an optional extra. Les Bleus scored six themselves because why not turn a title defence into a mutual suicide pact? France’s Grand Slam dreams died screaming in the Scottish rain—poetic, if you hate joy. Scotland now look capable of winning the whole thing, or at least dying trying in spectacular fashion.
  • Italy 23–18 England (historic funeral for English pride): Italy finally beat England after 33 consecutive attempts at self-flagellation. It took a late replacement try in the 72nd minute to seal it, like England decided “eh, let’s give the Azzurri their one moment before we remember we’re supposed to be good.” First win in Six Nations history for Italy—congratulations, you’ve officially upgraded from “plucky losers” to “occasional executioners.” England, meanwhile, continue their proud tradition of snatching defeat from the jaws of mild competence.

After the weekend’s body count, the table is a three-way car crash at the top: France and Scotland both on 16 points (France clinging to first via points difference, like a drowning man hugging driftwood), Ireland lurking on 14 ready to ruin someone’s day, Italy suddenly looking dangerous, and England/Wales auditioning for the wooden spoon like it’s an Olympic sport.

Super Saturday next weekend could see Scotland claim their first title ever, France salvage their dignity, or everyone just collapse into a pile of shattered egos. Either way, it’ll be beautiful, brutal, and probably end in tears—rugby’s love language.
