The WRUFC U7-U12 Rugby Festival 23/24 Season

Sunday 15th October 2023

Welcome to Woodbridge Rugby Club and our Development Festival.

Our aim is to encourage and enable both new and experienced players to play rugby against similar abilities and opposition from other clubs. We want all the players and supporters to enjoy the day in a safe environment and furthermore would like to highlight the 5 key values that we coach to at the club.

Please enter into the spirit of the day with lots of positive support for both the players and the officials from all clubs who have volunteered their time and expertise as without them none of this would happen.

Food and Drink
Food and drinks will be available on the day from our clubhouse and barbecue and there is also a cake sale. Coffee is provided by Suffolk Coffee Pod.

Welfare
Toilets can be found outside the changing rooms and in the Main Clubhouse.

Safeguarding
Our safeguarding representative Adam Lubbock will be in attendance and can be reached on 07502 279497

Medical
We will have trained First Aiders on site from Woodbridge Medical Services, their base will be their caravan marked on the map.  All age groups should bring an appropriately qualified person also.

Clubhouse

No studs to be worn in the Clubhouse, please encourage players to use the outside toilets.

Gazebos
Team gazebos are welcome and team locations should be to the side of the pitches, please do not block the emergency access or main walkways.

Parking
Parking opens at 8.45. We are very limited for parking at Woodbridge Rugby Club, please car share where possible.  Parking at the club is only for coaches with equipment, 1 pass per age group has been emailed.

Please do not go to the car park we used last year as this is not being used and is privately owned.

From Melton, continue past the rugby club on your right on the B1084, take the next small road on your right, this is a single track with passing places.

Please note parking is on an arable field, not hard standing. If we have heavy rain leading up to the festival we may need to make other plans. Volunteers with hi-viz will guide you to the right place.

Programmes
Timings for matches are available using the links on this page.  There will be an “old school” whiteboard and QR codes by each marshal station.  (This maybe subject to change right up until the start of the festival, so please review this on the day).
