Woodbridge Rugby Union Football Club were at The Suffolk Show today, also representing Suffolk & Essex Rugby too.
It was a very busy first day, with our pitch being attended in large numbers from the moment we opened until we eventually decided to close for the day. It was really great to see so many people wanting to get involved in the game.
There was touch rugby and skill games. We managed to get the tackle matts out allowing those who wanted a taster of rugby a good chance to see what it was all about. As a result, we managed to gain a few enquiries for new players to our club whilst directing other potential players to our fellow clubs across Suffolk and North Essex too.
Our Colts and Juniors turned out in good numbers to help demonstrate the game of touch rugby and to involve those wanting to join in. Our Amazons where also very supportive who mucked in on hosting games and engaging with visitors.
We’ll be back tomorrow for another amazing day promoting our club and in general, rugby across Suffolk and North Essex too.
